Taylor Croft is a general assignment reporter on the breaking news team at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she writes interesting, trending breaking news stories in Atlanta and beyond. A metro Atlanta native, she graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and launched her journalism career as a local news intern through the Atlanta Press Club at the AJC in 2022, after which she landed a full-time staff position. She reported on Cobb County government and politics until starting her current role on the breaking news team Sept. 3. While in college, she reported for a student publication out of the Center for Sustainable Journalism called Fresh Take Georgia, focused on the state Legislature.
