Nicole D. Smith is the editorial audience director for Harvard Business Review, where she and her team create strategies to sustain, build, and find new digital readers for the brand.
Prior to HBR, Nicole was the arts and entertainment editor for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She has held roles for Essence magazine and Bounce TV, worked as a video journalist at CNN, and regularly hosts and moderates live programming and in-person events across the country. Also, Nicole is an adjunct professor of journalism for Morehouse College in Atlanta and is active on several boards, including the Center for Collaborative Journalism at Mercer University.
Nicole earned a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development, with a focus on Organizational Leadership and Learning, from The George Washington University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia.
