Lexi Churchill is a research reporter for the ProPublica-Texas Tribune Investigative Team where she has helped report a range of series about the U.S. military justice system, preventable carbon monoxide poisonings across Texas and the disastrous law enforcement response to the 2022 Uvalde school shooting. The team's Uvalde investigation and corresponding FRONTLINE documentary won multiple recognitions, including being named a 2024 EMMY nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist for explanatory reporting, the Collier Prize for state accountability, a national magazine award and others. Before joining ProPublica, Lexi interned at CNBC, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Columbia Daily Tribune, and KCUR 89.3, Kansas City’s NPR affiliate. Lexi graduated from Mizzou in 2019 with a degree in investigative convergence journalism.
