Rosalind Bentley is Deputy Editor at the Southern Foodways Alliance, Professor of Practice in Narrative Nonfiction at the University of Georgia and a contributing editor for the OXFORD AMERICAN literary magazine. A veteran newspaper journalist, she is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and a two-time James Beard Award finalist whose work has appeared in the New York Times, Oxford American, Longreads, Gravy and other publications. Her essay “Iron and Brass,” is included in the anthology, “Bigger Than Bravery: Black Resilience and Reclamation in a Time of Pandemic,” (Lookout Books). Most recently, she produced and narrated the new short film,
"Zora Head: The Life and Scholarship of Valerie Boyd,” which debuted this August during the Bronze Lens Film Festival in Atlanta and was nominated for Best Documentary Short Film.
